My mushrooms seem to grow great on this substrate. I also got soy hull pellets to do the "Masters Mix". Both seem to work well. My only gripe is that the hardwood pellets are a bit harder to break down when I mix them before i sterilize. After sterilizing they break down almost immediately so not as big of an issue it seems. My first batch of Lions Mane was amazing!!
